OPTIMIST CREED

OPTIMIST CREED
by CHRISTIAN D. LARSON

Promise Yourself -

To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.

To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet.

To make all your friends feel that there is something in them.

To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true. (MY FAVORITE)

To think only of the best, to work only for the best and expect only the best.

To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.

To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.

To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile.

To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.

Something To Inspire Me

  • Don't say you don't have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Michaelangelo, Mother Teresa, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein. - H. Jackson Brown
  •  I haven't failed, I've found 10,000 ways that don't work.-Thomas Edison
  • It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.
    - Aristotle
  •  Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great.- Mark Twain
  • The true measure of a man is how he treats someone who can do him absolutely no good.- Samuel Johnson
  • The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts. - Bertrand Russell
  • All great things are simple, and many can be expressed in single words: freedom, justice, honor, duty, mercy, hope. - Sir Winston Churchil
  • I have found the paradox, that if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more love. - Mother Teresa
  • If you really want to do something, you will find a way. If you don't, you will find an excuse.
  • Never be afraid to try something new. Remember, amateurs built the ark, professionals built the Titanic.

Never Forget 11-23-09

Let us NOT forget. Let us pray for JUSTICE

It has been a year since the hideous, inhuman and by far the worst election-related crime in the Philippines happened. And... the families of the victims still cry for JUSTICE.

Here are two links that I want to share with you all.

Why Andal Ampatuan Jr., Thought He Could Get Away With It - An article dated November 29, 2009. Five days after the massacre.

Maguindanao: Isang Taon - A documentary series prepared my the PCIJ (Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism). This is a one segment of a five part documentary series on the extrajudicial killing of mediamen in the Philippines.

JUSTICE.

The Story of Betrayal

The word betrayal is just so difficult to define as much as it is so difficult to deal with. But allow me to give you something about betrayal.

Part of the fantasy of every betrayed person is that one day, the person who hurt you will come back and answer all your questions and will apologize for hurting you.

But the thing is... they won't!

They'll die a liar & will feel good about themselves.
That's how selfish they are.
They can't give you closure, you have to find it yourself.
You get angry with them.
Then you get over them.
Bless them in your mind & have peace with yourse.
When or if that person comes back,
you can say; HI & GOODBYE in the same sentence.

-Oprah Winfrey

I love you, Oprah! You made this so easy for me.

xx,
